The Ikan Fly X3 Go is a Gopro gimbal from an American manufacturer. This is rare enough to note it so we really wanted to precise that this is, for once, not a Chinese or Asian manufacturer. Well, actually, nowadays, this doesn’t change anything. Indeed, American and Asian manufacturers both do very well as far as stabilizers are concerned. Discover the reasons for which we like the Ikan Fly X3 Go, and the reasons for which we don’t.
As you can see in our Gopro gimbal comparison, this product really ranks well and there are some things we really like with it. The first, definitely, is the fact that you’ll be able to separate the stabilizer from its grip. There is only 3 gimbals which allow you to do that and the Ikan Fly X3 Go is part of them. The two others are the Removu S1 and the Gopro Karma Grip. Here, thanks to the 59 inches long cable, you’ll be able to control your Gopro gimbal remotely, and this is something we really enjoyed during our Ikan Fly X3 Go review.
The second think we really like about it is the fact that it offers a very good quality and reliability. Indeed, it is really robust and trustworthy. You can be sure that you’ll be able to use this gimbal for many years. As far a stabilization is concerned, we were also very pleased with this product which offers one of the best on the market. It is not as good as the EVO GP PRO, the Removu S1 or the Gopro Karma Grip, but it is still very impressing. Finally, we also very enjoyed the grip which has a special shape enabling you to take it in hand easily. If you want to have more details about all this and many other characteristics, we invite you to read our Ikan Fly X3 Go review.
We don’t like
Yet, as you may know, this is not the best Gopro gimbal we have tested. Indeed, it has some weaknesses that definitely lowered its grade. The first one is the fact that its battery life is quite limited compared to most of its competitors. Indeed, we had approximately 2h30 of running time during our test. This is really limited if you compare it with the Feiyu G5 or the Zhiyun Evolution. Still, one very pleasant asset is the fact that you’ll be able to recharge you Gopro while in use.
The second little weakness is the fact that it won’t work with your Gopro Hero 5… This is a bit of a shame for people who own this action camera. Finally, the last weakness is its price. Indeed, it is currently 320$ which is quite expensive. Even though it is worth it for its very high quality, we would have liked to find it 20$ cheaper, at least…
Now you know the reasons for which we like and don’t like the Ikan Fly X3 Go Gopro gimbal. We hope that this article was helpful and we really thank you for your visit.
